This category includes the different models of bee waterers to put close to apiary.
It is normal that if you put a drinking trough nearby the bees work less in summer and bother less in the swimming pools, orchards or gardens of the neighbours.
The water in the hive is of great importance, it must be fresh and uncontaminated water and be the closest to the apiary, especially in summer and if possible in a clean drinking trough, not in a mud pool with waste.
Under normal conditions a medium-sized hive (about 60000 bees) needs over 2 litres of water per day for own consumption, brood rearing and maintaining the normal optimum humidity level within the hive.
It takes around 1000 bees to transport this load of water a day in a hive.
