The 12-frame super layens

New layens hive linked transhumance model "la Malhete" with removable base and roof.
36.5cm slotted head box. 25mm thick
pine wood .
Treated with linseed oil.
Approximate weight 23.5 kilos.

Hive composed of:
  • Wooden base with partial or semi-varnish ventilation. (Bottom inclined towards the hole).
  • Lower transhumance metal spouts.
  • Spouts for superior pollen catchers.
  • Brood chamber with 12 wire frames.
  • Wooden inner cover with hardboard panel.
  • Veneered wooden lid.
  • Wire closures (fil-elem).
  • Surface treatment: Linseed Oil.
  • Phytosanitary certificate.

Note: 25mm thick wood, frames with tensioned wires.
