Wood pollen catcher for beekeeping use.
The beekeeper collects the bee pollen using a wooden pollen catcher in the form of balls that have a high humidity level of around 15%, so if it is not stored and collected correctly it can lose properties. The beekeeper must take the pollen tray at least once a day and dry or freeze for proper conservation.
Pollen drying is done with pollen dryers with temperatures between 37 and 40 ºC, in a period of about 24 hours until the humidity level drops it should be between 5 and 8%. Never dry in the sun.
Once dry, the pollen should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place protected from light. Ideally, it should be kept at a low temperature and vacuum packed.
