Its function is to melt the covers and separate the honey and the wax, (the honey and the molten wax separate as their density is different, the honey goes below and the molten wax above, the lower part is kept at 40ºC and the upper part at 80 ° C).
The cover melter is a round stainless steel tank, Ø550mm, height 850mm, approximate weight 20 kg.
It has a powerful 2000 watt resistance under the lid, combined with a fan to ensure good heat distribution and fast and gentle honey processing.
Thermostat from 30ºC to 110ºC.
The cap wax is placed on a grill (capacity up to 40kg load), and the thermostat is set at approximately 100ºC.
The honey and wax begin to melt and due to their greater weight, the honey will flow to the bottom, while the wax is floating on top. Thus, the clean honey can be extracted first and then the wax.
It can also be used as a hot chamber to melt pots or small cubes of honey.
