Honey bees have been extensively studied in their biology, ecology, anatomy, morphology, physiology, and behavior, with a vast literature on each of these aspects. However, issues concerning honey bees in their condition as livestock exploitation animals, subject to rational management, have not been treated with rigorous zootechnical criteria.
These topics that, specifically, refer to how to collect, analyze and evaluate in a systematic, methodological and orderly way, the information that comes from the biological behaviors (production parameters) of the honey bee colonies from the productive point of view are covered in this book.
Its purpose is that beekeeping farms are managed with a more professional, technical and business sense, in order to adapt them to the zootechnical and production requirements, which improve and guarantee the viability and profitability of the beekeeping business.
