This beekeeping family integrates the different models of water troughs to put near the apiary.
The normal thing is that if you put a water fountain nearby, the bees work less in summer and disturb less in the swimming pools, orchards or gardens of the neighbors.
The water in the hive is of great importance, it must be fresh and uncontaminated water and be as close to the apiary, especially in summer and if possible in a clean trough, not in a mud puddle with residues.
Under normal conditions, a medium-sized hive (around 60,000 bees) needs about 2 liters of water per day for its own consumption, larval maintenance and maintaining the normal optimal level of humidity within the hive.
It takes around 1000 bees to carry this load of water per day in a hive.
