Queen cage with a queen excluder grid on both sides. This breeding cage is made from plastic parts. This allows for easy cleaning.
It is one of the basic tools for a beekeeper when it comes to rearing queen bees.
The cage has a dome inside in which the larvae can be made, then once the queen cell is made the cage door can be closed to protect the queen.
This cage has a fixed queen excluder grid on the back. This is also used on the front of the cage, where it is fixed with rivets so that it can be opened downwards. The bees can easily enter through the grids and thus take care of the queen until she emerges.

The queen cannot leave the cage without the intervention of the beekeeper.
Choice of wooden plug (t mad) or plastic plug (t plas), yellow or green, depending on stock.
