Diamond exhaust with 4 outlets made of plastic, it has diagonal dimensions of 280x280mm, it is like two normal diamond exhausts forming a piece, with an approximate weight of 100gr.
They are mainly used in
langstroth and dadant hives (super hives), and can also be used in layen super hives, it is used for the bees to abandon the supers, it is placed on a board or counter-trap at the bottom.
The board is placed between the nest and the super or supers that we want the bees to leave, normally a few hours before taking the super, between 4 and 10 hours before.
Put a bee escape between the brood chamber and the honey body the day before collection (at sunset) and all the bees will be at the bottom of the hive the next morning.
The escape allows the bees that are in the super to descend into the nest, to allow the beekeeper to remove the supers calmly, thus avoiding retaining a part of the bees. Under normal conditions, the exhaust will clear the bee colony in 4 to 5 hours.
