The 800 kg pallet of Ambrosia® bee fondant is a ready-to-use feed widely used by European beekeepers throughout the beekeeping season. It is supplied in 2.5 kg bags, packed in boxes containing five bags each.

Ambrosia® is one of the most established bee feeds on the market and, together with Apifonda®, is widely used for maintenance and supplementary feeding.

The fondant contains microfine sugar crystals surrounded by a thin film of dissolved sugar syrup. This syrup prevents the crystals from forming a hard crust, growing or sticking together. As a result, the fondant remains soft and can be easily collected and consumed by the bees.

It is a solid bee feed formulated with sugars specifically selected for honey bees. Its approximate composition is 82% sucrose, 5% glucose, 3% fructose, 1.8% maltose and 8.2% higher saccharides. Dry matter: 90.7%.

How should Ambrosia® be used?

Make several openings in a 2.5 kg bag and place it directly above the frames. For a nucleus colony or a small colony, the bag can be divided into two portions using a suitable cutter.

Ambrosia® is supplied as a solid fondant in 2.5 kg bags. Each box contains five bags, with a total weight of 12.5 kg. The complete pallet contains 320 bags, packed in 64 boxes, with a total net weight of 800 kg.

A plastic feeder accessory is also available for placing solid feed over the crownboard opening. Simply make an opening in the bag and position it over the feeder accessory.
