Used to treat varroa, the Varrox evaporator liquefies oxalic acid and diffuses it in the form of snow through the hives.
With a 3 meter long cable. It works at 12 volts on a battery.
The VARROX evaporator is reusable for years.
Oxalic acid is a fairly inexpensive treatment.
With oxalic acid an almost biological control of the varroa mite is made.
The oxalic acid used with this device must be Api-Bioxal type or similar that is allowed by current legislation.

How does it work?
By heating the pan or casserole, the dehydrated oxalic acid turns liquid and evaporates.
A cloud or mist of oxalic acid is produced that precipitates forming a thin layer of oxalic acid crystals on the bees and surfaces of the hive.
These crystals are well tolerated by bees but are deadly or have a lethal action to the varroa mite.

Instructions for use
The dehydrated oxalic acid put in the small container of VARROX.
It enters the hive through the gate.
The hive is closed and the VARROX evaporator is switched on for approximately two and a half minutes, then it is switched off, but it is still left for about two minutes inside the hive.
Immediately afterwards it is removed and briefly immersed in water.
We left the hive closed for another ten minutes.
It takes about one or two grams of dehydrated oxalic acid per hive.
The kit includes a measuring spoon equivalent to 1 gram and a few battery packs.
If the hive is of one body, one gram is enough, if it is two bodies, two grams is better.
Oxalic acid is toxic and corrosive. Wear protective masks, antacid gloves and clothing with long sleeves.
The treatment is usually done in the absence of breeding between November and December.

Oxalic acid applied sublimately is not allowed in Spain for the treatment of varroa, unlike Apivar, Apitraz, Apistan, etc.
