Varrox EDDY vaporizer lithium battery

Ref: TACO_0171
399.00 € (IVA incl)

Varrox vaporizer with 18 V rechargeable lithium battery with a 220v charger in a household socket, so you do not have to carry a gasoline group or a car battery.
Designed for entry spouts from 15 mm in height and with a minimum width of 90 mm, both dadant and langstroth fixer type hives are ideal for using this device.
The dihydrated oxalic acid treatment with the Varrox Eddy Vaporizer is not only gentle on the bees, it is also safe for the beekeeper.
The VARROX EDDY evaporator is reusable for years, we advise leaving the battery always charged, especially in a long time without use.
Used for the treatment of varroa, the Varrox EDDY vaporizerit liquefies the oxalic acid and diffuses it in the form of snow through the hives.
Oxalic acid is a fairly inexpensive and functional treatment.
With oxalic acid an almost biological control of the varroa mite is made.
With an 18 volt lithium battery and 220 volt battery charger.
You can buy another spare battery and thus while using one battery the other can be recharging.
With button to start the cycle.
Treatment time and temperature are electronically controlled by LED lights.
Supplied in a plastic case with the vaporizer, a battery and the charger.

How does it work?
By heating the casserole by means of the energy stored in the lithium battery, the oxalic acid dihydrate becomes liquid and evaporates.
A mist of oxalic acid is produced, which precipitates on re-cooling, forming a thin layer of oxalic acid crystals on the bees and hive surfaces.
These crystals are well tolerated by bees but are deadly or have a lethal action to the varroa mite.

Directions for use
Oxalic acid dihydrate is put into the pan at the front of the Varrox Eddy.
It is introduced into the hive through the spout, it is recommended to close the spout with a damp towel or sponges.
Once placed in the hive spout, all you have to do is press a button and a green LED will light up.
The beekeeper can stay away from the hive until the end of the treatment.
Thanks to the LED lights, you may be able to monitor the progress of the treatment from a safe distance.
The treatment time and the treatment temperature are electronically controlled by the device and stop as soon as the amount introduced evaporates.
At the end of the treatment, with the white and blue flashing light, the appliance can be removed and the pan immersed in water to cool down and shorten the cycle.
Now you can take the other pot and add the oxalic acid and repeat the cycle in another hive, when the light flashes purple and blue.
You need about one or two grams of oxalic acid dihydrate per hive.
If the hive has one body or is a small nucleus or sparsely populated, one gram is enough, if it is two bodies or heavily populated, two grams is better.
Oxalic acid is toxic and corrosive. Wear protective masks, antacid gloves and clothing with long sleeves.
The treatment is usually done in the absence of breeding between November and December.
Treatments with oxalic acid dihydrate must always be carried out in a brood-free state. The winter treatment takes place from November to January.
Treatment is also possible if the hatchlings are interrupted in summer after the honey harvest and always at mild temperatures.
