2019 model evaporator for formic acid. Supplied in a kit of 2 units.
It includes two evaporators, six wicks in different sizes, two woolen cloths and four stainless steel screws to fix to the wooden frame.
Wooden box not included.
The operating principle is based on the evaporation of two wicks that guarantees a constant flow for a period of 10 days.
Being slow evaporation throughout the process there is almost no danger in the life of the queen.
The bottle has a scale, you can fill it at your facilities and take it to the apiary and put it in its frame with the included supports, the bottle can be easily removed and put on.

Brief instructions for use:
After the last honey harvest in late July / early August it is treated with 60% formic acid for about 10 days.
From mid to late September there is a second treatment, depending on the climate and altitude, you can treat with 60 or 85% formic acid for 10 days.
If a natural mortality rate of more than one mite per day is still observed in mid-October, treatment should be carried out a third time. Use 85% formic acid to compensate for normally lower outside temperatures.
The minimum duration of treatment with this device is 10 days.

The application of formic acid to control varroa is not allowed in Spain, if it is allowed in other countries of the European Union. This device can be used with those brands and in those countries that are allowed according to current legislation.
