The new Varroa Tester Swienty is a tool used to monitor a hive to determine the approximate level of Varroa infestation.
It consists of a plastic cylinder with a perforated stainless steel sieve and two plastic lids, a CO2 dispenser, and a standard 16g CO2 cartridge (enough for approximately 12 tests).

Instructions for Use:
Collect approximately 200 bees from a brood frame (avoid capturing the queen).
Then anesthetize with CO2 gas.
After 10-20 seconds, move the container for 10 seconds.
Varroa mites are also affected by the anesthesia and will detach from the bees. This makes them easy to count, and it's easy to assess the number of mites in your hive.
Anesthetized bees will awaken after a while and return to the hive.
Easy, simple, and gentle on the bees. CO2 bottle included.

Tip:
Use the CO2 dispenser gently at first, as the bottle is under high pressure.

• Treatment needed soon (medium infestation): <5-20 mites.
