Article used to make a control in a hive to know approximately the existing varroa infection.
It consists of a plastic cylinder with a sieve and two plastic caps, a CO2 dispenser and a standard 16g CO2 cartridge (enough for approximately 12 tests).

How to use:
Take approximately 200 bees from a brood frame (avoid capturing the queen).
Then anesthetize with CO2 gas.
After 10-20 seconds, move container for 10 seconds.
Varroa mites are also affected by anesthesia and will shed from bees. So they are easy to count and it is easy to assess the number of mites in your hive.
The anesthetized bees will wake up after a while and return to the hive.
Easy and simple and gentle on bees. CO2 bottle included .

Tip:
Use the CO2 dispenser gently at first, as the bottle is under high pressure.

Evaluation: (Values ??based on 200 bees)

• For the moment safe values ??(mild infection): <5 mites.
• Treatment needed shortly (medium infection): <5-20 mites.
• Immediately treat (severe infection):> 20 mites.
