The Asian or Asian hornet wasp is a big problem for beekeeping since it feeds on bees.
Present now in Spain and Portugal.
To combat it there are already various methods such as HPAs, disinfection units, protective modules, hive entrances, traps, etc.
The difference between the HPAs and the disinfection units, is that the harp is a passive trap, that is, it is placed between two hives and the wasp is hunted when it tries to move from one hive entrance to the other (they must be placed in the early summer) and the disinfectants are active traps since they are placed attractive inside and therefore can be used throughout the season from February to October.
As for the traps, you have to attract to catch, it is normal to place them near the nests or the apiary.
